3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR — EEA and UK Clients)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK), we process your personal information under the following lawful bases as defined by the GDPR:

• Performance of a contract: processing is necessary to deliver the consultation services you have booked

Where we rely on consent as the legal basis, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

4. Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following third-party service providers solely to the extent necessary to deliver our services:

4.1 Squarespace

Our website is hosted on Squarespace, and we use Squarespace Payments to process transactions and Squarespace Email Campaigns for email communications. Squarespace may collect and process personal information in connection with these services.

4.3 Analytics Providers

Our website uses Squarespace's internal analytics to help us understand visitor behavior. We have disabled non-essential cookies, meaning we do not use third-party tracking cookies (such as Google Analytics) to monitor your activity across other websites.

The data we collect is collected via the server log for security and basic site performance, not for building a long-term profile of the user via cookies.

4.4 Legal Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or where we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5. Marketing Communications

We will only send you promotional or marketing emails where you have provided express consent, for example by subscribing to our mailing list through our website. Each marketing email will include an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking that link or contacting us at tarapallayinteriors@gmail.com.

Withdrawing consent to marketing communications will not affect the delivery of service-related communications, such as consultation confirmations or written summaries.

6. Cookies

Our website is designed to function without the use of non-essential tracking cookies. We only use Strictly Necessary cookies, which are essential for the website to function properly (such as managing your shopping cart or processing payments). Because we do not use non-essential tracking or marketing cookies, you will not see a cookie consent banner on our site.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.

• Consultation records, including questionnaires, photos, and written summaries, are retained for up to two (2) years following the consultation date

• Payment records are retained as required by Canadian tax law (generally six (6) years)

Where we transfer data outside of Canada to countries that do not have equivalent privacy protections, we take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is protected in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian law.

For EEA and UK residents, transfers outside the EEA and UK are carried out in accordance with GDPR requirements, including through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms where applicable.
